Haunted Locations

Orlando, Florida

-Walt Disney World- Florida's most popular attraction has had several haunted tales told over the years. No, I'm not referring to the Haunted Mansion. I would like to begin with George, who was a welder working to help construct the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The ride opened December of 1973, but what was unknown to many was that there had been a death. His death is still a mystery because there was actually two reports of how George actually died. The first, was that a beam fell and crushed him, but the second account happened during the construction of the famed burning city scene. George had to climb up high to assemble different parts of the ride where he supposedly slipped and fell to his death. Many of the employee's have had experiences with George and in fact at the beginning of the day and at the end they must come on the PA system to say good morning and good night to George. If they don't, George has been known to shut the ride down.

Epcot part of Walt Disney World has one of the most recognizable structures at the Resort but many don't know that this sphere contains visitors that never leave. This sphere known as Spaceship Earth actually has two ghosts that have been seen. The ghosts are those of a small girl and boy. The girl has long blonde hair, she has been seen most often riding in the cars. But she has also been seen wandering in front of Spaceship Earth with a young boy. The boy is often seen running in front of the girl as she walks along then just disappears into thin air.

At the exciting Tower of Terror ride, known for its jaw dropping fall has an apparition which has been seen after all visitors have left. Workers report seeing this apparition after the ride closes wandering around usually in the wrong direction of normal visitor traffic. But don't bother trying to communicate, because when you speak it disappears.

Disney's final spirit is an apparition that is seen aimlessly wandering the streets in front of the castle. I can imagine with close to 48 million people visiting Disney World every year that there is bound to be someone with a love so strong for their happiest childhood memories that even in death, there is still a connection.

Bartow, Florida

-OLD COURTHOUSE-The old courthouse is now the Polk County Museum, but the ghosts of the old courthouse still haunt. Four ghosts haunt the museum, the first and probably oldest is of the Mann brothers lynched by a mob for killing Marshall Silas Campbell. Their bodies were put on display on the second floor in 1886. Their apparitions have been seen there several times in the same spot were the bodies were displayed. Screams have been heard coming from the basement by staff and visitors, which is the location of where a worker was killed in a boiler room explosion. The courthouse is also haunted by the lady in white who's been seen fairly often lingering around the second floor restrooms

Bartow, Florida

-Stanford Inn Bed & Breakfast- This bed & breakfast is interesting for several reasons; first it is haunted and second the movie "My Girl" was filmed there in 1991. It is reportedly haunted by the original inn owner. The footsteps of Lee are still heard along with doors opening and closing on their own by visitors to this beautiful inn.

Fort Meade, Florida

-County Line Road- Located near Heard Bridge Road near Mount Pisgah Road is a nice quiet country place for a Sunday drive, but In the 1950's & 1960's mysterious ghost lights were seen at dusk and some say they still can be seen on dark nights.

Fort Meade, Florida

-James Reid House- Was built between the years of 1899 to 1914 and was featured in the HBO movie "Judgement" in 1990. The reports of objects being thrown, electronics turning off and on, apparitions and footsteps have been seen and heard by visitors.

Lakeland, Florida

-Florida Southern College- Is a school were alot of suicides have occurred in the freshman women's dorm. They also have underground tunnels that are unable to be opened by all who have tried. There are reports from the cleaning staff who have been touched and the breath of someone who is no longer there are felt. They now refuse to clean except during the day.

Are ghost real?

Are ghost real? For me this question is a easy YES! But for many the answer isn't so clear the believers are ruled crazy or Satan possessed . Even among my own family they consider ghost not once people but merely demons in disguise. People are always afraid of the unknown and things they do not know they easily judge. In the case with my family their quick to jump to the bible for reference. Since the bible does not specifically talk about ghost only demons their ruled demons. The bible also does not talk about dinosaur's and I know they exist because I have a box full of teeth and bones. I know ghost or spirits exist because I have seen, heard and have been touched. Just like in the case of dinosaur's I went in search of an answer whether ghost exist or not. In my quest for an answer I have found there evidence of existence with my personal experiences.
